About Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa Bursaries
The Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa Bursaries, administered through the Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa's Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education (FPE), fund both undergraduate BPharm students and postgraduate pharmacy researchers.
Check which track actually applies to you before requesting a form: the undergraduate bursary explicitly excludes first-year students, funding only 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year BPharm study, while the postgraduate track evaluates Master's and Doctoral research on project viability as much as academic results.
Funding Details
Bursaries are awarded based on financial circumstances, academic achievement, and any other financial assistance already received, for one academic year at a time.

Fields of Study & Who Can Apply
For the undergraduate track, you must be a South African citizen who has completed Matric and be studying full-time towards a BPharm qualification in your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year - first-year students don't qualify. For the postgraduate track, you must be a PSSA member pursuing a pharmacy-related Master's or Doctoral qualification, assessed on project viability, academic potential, and financial need.
