Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be South African students able to demonstrate both genuine financial need and solid academic performance, in line with Rosond's internal and external bursary policy. The bursary is restricted to the specific scarce-skills fields the company funds (see Who Can Apply) and is awarded on a competitive, one-year-at-a-time basis rather than as a guaranteed multi-year scholarship.

About Rosond Bursary

Rosond, one of South Africa's leading diamond drilling and grouting contractors to the mining and exploration industries, offers the Rosond Bursary Programme to South African students pursuing critical and scarce skills. The bursary supports full-time tertiary study in fields the drilling industry itself relies on and struggles to recruit for, including data science, engineering, finance, geology, information technology, human resources, mining and supply chain. Funding decisions are based on a combination of academic performance and demonstrated financial need, assessed against Rosond's own internal and external bursary policy, and awards are made one academic year at a time.

Where You Can Study

Open to students registered or intending to register at any accredited South African public university or university of technology; Rosond's published material does not restrict the bursary to a specific named institution.

Fields of Study & Who Can Apply

Open to South African students wishing to study full-time in one of Rosond's targeted critical and scarce skills fields: Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Geology, Information Technology, Human Resources, Mining, or Supply Chain. Selection is based on a combination of academic performance and financial need, weighed against Rosond's internal and external bursary policy. The bursary funds one academic year of study at a time, so recipients must reapply annually to continue receiving support - it is not an automatic multi-year award.

Application Procedure
