About Western Cape Department of Health Bursary
The Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness Bursary funds unemployed South African citizens who live in the Western Cape and want to study full-time towards a Health Science qualification, in exchange for a work-back commitment to the Department after graduating.
Eligible qualifications include Emergency Care Assistant (Higher Certificate), Emergency Medical Care (National Diploma), Medicine (MBChB), Nursing (R169 Higher Certificate, R171 General Nursing Diploma, R174 or Bachelor's Degree), Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, and Speech Therapy. Applications are fully online, and outcomes are only finalised around January or February the following year, so patience after applying is expected.
Funding Details
Covers registration fees, tuition fees, and examination fees. Accommodation costs are not covered by this bursary.
