eMedia Investments

eMedia Investments is the operating arm of eMedia Holdings Limited (JSE: EMN), a South African media group that owns and operates e.tv, the country's largest free-to-air commercial television channel, and eNCA, a 24-hour dedicated news channel run through its eSat.tv subsidiary. The group also operates the Openview free-to-air satellite platform and the eVOD streaming service. eMedia Holdings is majority-owned through Hosken Consolidated Investments (HCI), a broad-based black economic empowerment investment group, with Remgro holding a minority stake.

Through its bursary programme, eMedia Investments funds tuition for a small number of first-year students studying towards television, radio, broadcasting or other media-related qualifications at South African universities, aiming to build a pipeline of skilled talent for its television and news operations.
