Evander Gold Mining

Evander Gold Mine, commonly known as Evander Mines, is an underground gold mining operation located near Evander in Mpumalanga, South Africa. It has been operated by Pan African Resources, a JSE- and LSE-listed mid-tier African gold producer headquartered in Johannesburg, since Pan African acquired a controlling stake in the mine from Harmony Gold in 2013 for roughly R1.5 billion.

Current production at Evander is centred on the 8 Shaft Pillar and the Egoli underground project, considered one of the lowest-cost underground gold mining operations in South Africa. Evander Mines funds a bursary programme to build a pipeline of engineering and geology graduates for its mining operations.
