Kay Mason Foundation

The Kay Mason Foundation (KMF) is a South African non-profit organisation established in 1999 and based in Bellville, Cape Town, with a mission of removing barriers to quality education for talented young people from underprivileged backgrounds in the Western Cape.

KMF identifies promising Grade 6 learners from financially disadvantaged Western Cape households and supports them through a full high school journey - from Grade 8 through to matric - at partner schools, via its Senior Scholar Preparation Programme. Support extends beyond funding to include tutoring, mentorship, psychometric testing, career guidance, and post-school support, reflecting the Foundation's holistic approach to keeping scholars in school and helping them succeed academically and personally.
