Khobab Wind Farm

Khobab Wind Farm is a renewable energy project near Loeriesfontein in the Northern Cape, licensed under South Africa's Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement (REIPPP) programme.

As with other REIPPP-licensed projects, Khobab is contractually required to reinvest in the communities hosting the wind farm, which is why its bursary is open to any field of study rather than energy-related qualifications specifically - the fund exists to meet a socio-economic development obligation, not to build an internal talent pipeline.

There is no employment work-back requirement - recipients are not expected to work for Khobab or its operator after graduating.
