The MAD (Make A Difference) Leadership Foundation is a South African non-profit founded in 2003 by former Springbok rugby captain Francois Pienaar, providing educational access to academically and leadership-promising young South Africans who face economic barriers. The Foundation is based in Bellville, Cape Town.
It runs several scholarship streams - for high school learners, undergraduate STEM and Commerce students, and students pursuing Chartered Accountancy - combining financial support with mentorship, leadership development, and career and life-skills training, aiming to build future leaders in science, technology, engineering, commerce, and the built environment.
