Mbuyelo Coal

Mbuyelo Coal is a black-owned South African coal mining company with operations concentrated in Mpumalanga province, including the Manungu opencast and underground mine near Delmas, the Ntshovelo opencast mine, and the Mavungwani opencast and underground mine. The company grew out of Mbuyelo Group (Pty) Ltd, whose wider interests span coal mining, property, farming, and contracting.

Mbuyelo Coal runs a bursary programme aimed at students from communities near its Mpumalanga operations who want to pursue engineering, geology, or mine survey qualifications, supporting a pipeline of skills for its mining operations.
