The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) is a statutory public entity of South Africa's national Department of Sport, Arts and Culture (DSAC), established to support the equitable growth and development of the South African film and video industry.
Its mandate includes funding film development, production, marketing and distribution, commissioning industry research, and training and developing filmmakers, with particular emphasis on previously disadvantaged individuals - including through bursary programmes for film and television studies both locally and internationally.
