The SACBW Foundation is the bursary and youth-development arm of the South African Council for Business Women (SACBW), an organisation focused on developing women in business and entrepreneurship across South Africa. The Foundation funds academically deserving female Matric learners who need financial help to continue their studies, with a particular focus on commerce-related fields like Accounting, Business Development Management, Digital Marketing, and Entrepreneurship.
Rather than funding students already at university, the SACBW Foundation specifically targets Matric learners about to make the transition into tertiary study - catching students at the point where financial barriers most often derail otherwise capable applicants.
Recipients also receive the Foundation's Youth Leader Award, tying the bursary directly to SACBW's broader mission of developing the next generation of South African businesswomen, not just funding a qualification.
