About Momentum Group Actuarial Science Youth Bursary
The Momentum Group Actuarial Science Youth Bursary has supported top-achieving university students for more than 25 years, reflecting the group's long-term investment in both the actuarial profession and its own talent pipeline. Unlike Momentum's Phambili bursary, which funds a broader spread of commerce and IT fields, this bursary is specifically for students already studying towards an actuarial qualification.
The bursary is only open to students who have already completed their first year of actuarial studies, so Momentum can assess a genuine academic track record before committing funding - rather than betting on a school-leaver's potential alone.
Funding Details
The bursary covers annual registration and tuition fees, a textbook and general allowance, and accommodation and meal allowances where applicable, plus a travel allowance where applicable. Recipients also get mentorship, vacation work, and networking opportunities throughout their studies.
Where You Can Study
You need to be studying at an accredited South African university. Momentum doesn't publish a narrow list of approved institutions beyond that requirement, so most accredited universities offering the eligible actuarial qualifications should qualify.
About Momentum
Momentum Group (formerly Momentum Metropolitan Holdings) is one of South Africa's largest financial services groups, formed through the 2010 merger of Metropolitan Holdings and Momentum Group. Headquartered in Centurion,…
