About Old Mutual Actuarial Bursary

Old Mutual runs an in-house Actuarial Science bursary as part of its Early Careers programme, aimed at academically strong South African students who want to build a career in actuarial science within the financial-services sector. It is funded for full-time study at a defined list of South African universities offering an accredited actuarial science programme.

Eligible universities include the University of Cape Town, Stellenbosch University, University of Pretoria, University of the Witwatersrand, University of the Free State, North-West University, University of Johannesburg and the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

Recipients receive support for the full duration of their degree, together with mentorship, vacation work from second year, in-house professional development exposure, and guaranteed employment with Old Mutual after graduating.
