About Sita Bursary
The State Information Technology Agency (SITA) is a state-owned entity that consolidates and delivers ICT services and infrastructure for South African national, provincial and local government departments. As part of building a pipeline of ICT graduates for the public sector, SITA runs an annual external bursary programme for students in computer science and related fields.
SITA's bursary intake for the 2026/2027 cycle supported four qualifications - BSc Computer Science, BSc Computer Science and Informatics with Artificial Intelligence, BSc Cyber Security, and BSc Information Technology - with 25 bursaries awarded across South Africa's nine provinces for that cycle.
