About Barberton Mines High School Scholarship
The Barberton Mines High School Scholarship is a pre-tertiary scholarship run by Barberton Mines, a gold-mining subsidiary of Pan African Resources, for learners at Hoërskool Barberton in Mpumalanga. First launched in January 2022 as a five-year programme, it has continued as an annual intake aimed at academically strong learners entering Grade 8, 9 or 10 from Barberton, Emjindini and the surrounding area, with a deliberate focus on learners who excel in mathematics, physical science and technology but whose families could not otherwise afford quality secondary schooling.
