About Momentum Investments Bursary

The Momentum Phambili Bursary funds undergraduate BCom study in Accounting, Financial Management, Information Technology, Investments Management, Mathematics, or Statistics. Momentum is one of South Africa's largest financial services groups, formed from the 2010 merger of Metropolitan Holdings and Momentum Group, and the bursary is designed to build a pipeline of graduates in the technical disciplines its insurance and investment businesses depend on most.

After graduating, bursars move into Momentum's Phambili internship programme, giving them a direct route from funded study into a first professional role at the group.

Funding Details

The bursary covers tuition fees, textbooks, and accommodation. After graduating, recipients take part in the Phambili internship programme, which gives them practical work experience and a direct route into the group.

You need to be a South African citizen who is previously disadvantaged under the B-BBEE codes, studying toward an undergraduate BCom degree or equivalent at a South African public university, entering your 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year of study. You'll need a strong academic record, generally an overall average of at least 75% in your previous year of study.

Your total household income also needs to fall below R600,000 a year, so this bursary combines both merit and financial-need criteria rather than relying on just one.
